ART:
I began my artistic career by studying fashion design in New York City. While studying fashion I began to gain a greater interest for textiles, prints, and textures and began to concentrate solely on textile surface design which allowed for more room of creative expression. Using similar design techniques from work with textiles, my art is highly stylized and vibrant in nature. The characteristic use of rich color combinations and bold graphic lines are a unique signature in my work. I have exhibited locally and nationally, and recently finished a month long exhibition in Chelsea, NY. My breakthrough exhibit into main stream cutting edge art was at legendary Cpop Gallery in Detroit. I've had the honor of exhibiting with some incredible and talented artists such as Shepard Fairey, Jeff Soto, and Glenn Barr to name a few. I currently work on freelance graphic design projects and art commissions. PHOTOGRAPHY: I first fell into photography by taking pictures of my husband's band. My first "unofficial" gig was for their Pat Benatar opener. In need of a last minute photographer that day, I was thrown into action. Ever since, I could not get enough of the fast paced energy and excitement of taking pictures at live concerts and being backstage and in the pit where all the action happens. Ever since I was a child I have always been around musicians and bands. Music is in my soul, it only makes sense that concert photography is my passion. I currently work as a freelance event and concert photographer in the Philadelphia, NY, NJ area. *To inquire about art commissions or photography work please contact me directly. |
